I know mayonnaise has raw egg in it but if it is made with pasteurised egg can my babies eat it, the reason I ask if we were out and about and I took jars with me and one of my twins refused to eat it, so I thought I would get her a kids meals the place where we were done sandwiches but they all has mayonnaise in them. Cooked eggs can be safely introduced into your baby's diet when he is six months old. You should avoid using raw eggs in your baby's diet as they sometimes contain salmonella bacteria, which may cause food poisoning. When cooking eggs for your baby, the egg and white should be firm. For the same reason, it is a good idea to avoid giving your child anything that may contain raw egg, such as uncooked cake mixture, home-made ice cream or mayonnaise, or desserts that contain uncooked raw egg, such as mousses.

In my experience as a mother of three kids, and based on my doctors' opinion, you should be very careful in the first year. I do not recommend eggs before your babies are over a year old. Raw eggs are more dangerous than cooked eggs and that is a sure thing. Try to avoid giving your babies eggs and wait until after they're one year old. I gave my boy a tiny piece of a boiled egg when he was 13 months old and he had diarrhea and skin rash. so I had to wait for another month.

Mayonnaise at the store is pasteurized. Don't give them homemade or restaurant made. They only warm the eggs.

If he doesn't like mayo, try miracle whip.

I don't know why you would want to. Just ask them to skip the mayo.
