its super warm out and i love to ride on the back of my mans crotch rocket and 4 wheeler. i dont feel safe on the back of the crotch rocket since its only 2 wheels and would be easy to lay out of i leaned the wrong way or something, but is a 4 wheeler safe? his mom freaked out when i asked him to give me a ride and he said yes and said that all the bumping and stuff that would happen from driving on the rocks and stuff isnt good for the baby. its 4 wheels and i feel safe and he def drives safe with just me on it and knowing his baby is on it as well would be just another reason for him to drive safe. soi dont think its unsafe but i could be wrong so a little insight would be apprecitated:)
thanks everyone

You can up to a point. I was told that, from 10 to 12 weeks on, you should not ride anything like that at all. I've been riding dirt bikes, etc, for years, and that was one thing that my doctor firmly said no to.

The bumping, jarring, etc., is definitely not good for the baby. I was told that, especially in the 3rd trimester, it could lead to premature labor.

Also, hon, I know he's driving safely, but if something happens- meaning, you fall off, you have an accident, etc., you're endangering your baby's life.

I would say thats a big Hell NO! haha sorry but to be on the safe side I would not involve myself in something that could potentially be very dangerous. Even though u are not going to be off roading U have to worry about other people in regular cars and just any ferak accident that could happen. I wouldnt do it if were you....just a wait a few more weeks!

Personally, I would not take the risk. ATV's can be very dangerous. According to the midwife on pregnacy.org there may be a slight risk for shaken baby syndrome. http://www.pregnancy.org/question/it-okay-ride-atvs

Even if your man is the safest driver ever there still can be unknown variables on the trail and accidents do happen no matter how many precautions you take. It is up to you but I would not get on without first asking the doctor taking care of you during the pregnancy.

NO! You should not be on 4 wheelers or putting yourself or your baby in any unnecessary dangers like this. You are going to have to wait till the baby is born and then you can have some down time by doing this or something else. Please listen to your Mom and doctor. As much as you might not want to hear it she is right this time. Congrats!

You have got to be kidding me! Absolutely not a smart idea. I'm glad that his mom was around to freak out.

All pregnancy questions should be directed towards a Dr and not people on yahoo. Ignore any answer on here unless it says talk to a Dr.

Sure its safe! when you flip over and it lands on your belly, your kid will tell you how safe it really is when you miscarry.
