My baby will be born in about 3 1/2 months.
I am white and my fiancé is biracial, half black (father) and half white (mother).
His mother, as well as his sister, have constantly told me that I am to list the child as black.
My fiancé says to either list him as biracial or black.
Yet, I feel that this is not fair to me and does not do anything to acknowledge me as his mother, as well as denying him an entire part of who he is.
Because of this, I am comfortable listing my baby as biracial or even white because he will be 75% white so to me 75% is well over half.
I do not agree with the "one drop" rule because this is 2014 and I thought America was well past this.
Am I in the wrong for believing this way?

Well I think they have biracial now but they might just have 'other'

I have a friend and the mom is black, the dad is white but the kid looks mostly white so they list her as white so I think it's really just up to you but if your child looks even a little black then you should list him as black or other, biracial if that's an option.

Since he will be 1/4 Black and 3/4 White, I suppose the correct answer is biracial.
