We moved and just painted our new house inside and out....can the fumes harm my 5 month old? all the windows in the house were open as I was painting the interior, but my sitter (she is an adult) kept bringing my daughter into the room I was painting, so she could watch me paint, even when I asked her not to....

i'm pregnant and my doctor said that the fumes from oil based paint are dangerous. Oil based paints have volitale organics that fill the air (like the way you can smell gasoline when you're pumping your tank).

latex (water) based paint, however, if in a well ventilated room, should not harmful to the fetus. latex based paints are water based, so the way they dry is evaporation!

for a baby, i would think that the same rules apply (oil-based stay away, water based safe all day).

its no longer healthful for the toddler in the experience that your sons lady buddy is inhaling any fumes. what i could say however she could desire to do a constrained volume if in a ok ventilated room. attempt to adhere with emulsion no longer gloss or varnish as those provide off extra fumes. there's a gloss on sale that provides off no fumes. attempt finding for products like this. whilst i advance into pregant with my 2nd toddler i had one week in the past i advance into via have the toddler to decorate a three mattress room flat and that i did that on my very own, in basic terms ventilated the flat ok and not in any respect slept there, so there are techniques around this occasion.

As long as you werent keeping your child in there for the whole time and the room was well ventilated nothing should come of it.... but if you are worried and your child is acting different you may want to contact your pediatrician

As long as you were keeping the room well venelated(sp) I don't think it would hurt her. Just think off all the vumes she is exposed to - gas fumes, hairspray, nail polish remover. etc. As long as she isn't "huffing" concentrated amounts -
